Technology Extravaganza 2008 at ULM to offer free technology tutoring Oct. 25

The Theta Zeta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. cordially invites one and all to its Technology Extravaganza 2008 Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at the University of Louisiana Monroe Administration Building. Pink and green balloons will guide attendees.

The free event deals with changing times and the introduction of new technology every year, including iPods, digital cameras, BlackBerries, laptops, and more. The program promises to cover the following topics:

  • Online Banking: Check deposits and manage accounts without the tellers.

  • Online Shopping/Bill Payments: Avoid department stores and long lines with a simple click of the mouse.

  • Cell Phones: Finally learn to send text messages, download ring tones and take pictures.
  • Digital Cameras: Learn to take quality pictures and upload them to a computer.

  • iPods: Finally discard CDs and put the iPod to good use.

  • Miscellaneous: Any other technology questions will be tackled.

Attendees should bring their technological devices, and the group will take it from there. They are providing a computer lab on campus as well as refreshments.
