The festival is being held in Baton Rouge at the State Library of Louisiana, Louisiana State Capitol, Louisiana State Museum, and other nearby locations. Anderson’s portion of the program will be in House Committee Room 4, which will be followed by a book signing. The featured book is his second, entitled Hoodoo, Voodoo, and Conjure: A Handbook from the Greenwood Folklore Handbooks Series. Both of Anderson’s books recently received high praise for their authenticity and approach from the web site Swampland.com, which specializes in African-American and Old South topics. Anderson earned his doctoral degree in history from the University of Florida.
