ULM's Cass wins Heart Association award

Dr. Jeff Cass, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was a recent recipient of the American Heart Association's "Start! Lifestyle Change Award."

The award was presented Oct. 15 at Forsythe Park's annual Heart Walk, and is given to individuals who have made positive changes to improve their quality of life and health.

The mission of the American Heart Association Heart Walk is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
