ULM's SGA gives back
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Student Government Association is participating in a service-learning project to raise money and awareness for St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
All schools in the UL system will be joining in this event during the week of Oct. 31 to Nov. 4. The SGA presidents from each school will then present the funds to St. Jude's.
ULM’s SGA events:
Monday Oct. 31:
A supply drive for St. Jude's will be held inside the SUB at the circulation desk from 11am to 1 pm. Bring things such as board games, toys, dolls, etc. that children will enjoy. Supplies and money donations can be brought to the SGA office throughout the week.
Tuesday Nov. 1:
Raising Canes is partnering with SGA by donating 15 percent of all profits on this day to St. Jude. Make sure you and all your friends go to Raising Canes and mention ULM's St. Jude fundraiser!
Wednesday Nov. 2:
A drawing for dinner with the President and First Lady will be held and eight lucky students will join Dr. and Mrs. Bruno at Bon Aire at 5:30p.m.
Tickets for the drawing will be sold through Nov. 1 and can be purchased from any SGA senator, or in the SGA office. The winners will be selected at noon.
Thursday Nov. 3:
The Warhawk Dash, located at Selman Field, will begin at 5:30 p.m. More information for this event can be found at www.ulm.edu/dash.
