Members of the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and the ULM Softball Team joined forces again this year to assist the First United Methodist Church of Monroe with their annual Pumpkin Patch.

The two groups unloaded an 18-wheeler load - over 5,000 pumpkins - and set up the Pumpkin Patch display in the side yard of the church.

Throughout October, the church will sell the pumpkins and use the proceeds to support charities.
