ULM's Chautauqua Nexus meets on Saturday this week at Enoch's. This weekend's topic is "Painting the Heavens" by Glen Kennedy. Kennedy will talk about painting the ceiling of Monroe's St. Mathew's Church. In order to celebrate 150 years in the parish, St. Mathew's commissioned Glen to paint the heavens on the ceiling. His discussion includes the metaphysics of the task as well as the mechanics of painting with a six-inch brush in some very interesting positions.

This week's Chautauqua Nexus meets at Enoch's Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11:00 a.m. These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual and cultural exchanges. The Chautauqua group meets every week.
