Nova Southeastern University officials expressed that Matusiak’s background in healthcare management and research would be an asset in his role as peer reviewer. The IJAHSP is an internationally peer-reviewed, open-access, scholarly, on-line journal dedicated to the exploration of allied health professional practice, research, and education. The goal is to help first time as well as seasoned authors publish. Matusiak holds a doctorate of health science, as well as a master’s degree in management. He is certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and a Clinical Laboratory Compliance Professional by the National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel. In February 2006, he was honored with an appointment as a Fellow to the Royal Institute of Public Health in London; in 2007, he was honored with an appointment as Fellow with the American Institute of Chemistry in Philadelphia.
