ULM College of Pharmacy to host Health Fair Oct. 16

The University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy invites the public and campus family to its first health fair from 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Oct. 16, at the College of Pharmacy on Bienville Drive.

Participants will benefit from free or low-cost early detection and preventative health screenings and educational opportunities.

These are just a few of the screenings and measurements that will be offered: Blood pressure; blood glucose; cholesterol; peripheral artery disease; body fat; bone density and airway obstruction detection.

Diet and nutrition resources, smoking cessation programs, exercise information, diabetic management information; high blood pressure management information and high cholesterol management information will also be available.

ULM’s College of Pharmacy encourages all to join the fun and check out the numerous available resources that address quality of life issues. Door prizes will be awarded every hour and snacks will be provided.
