MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe Alumni Association has once again partnered with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to update its alumni directory. PCI is in the process of reaching out to ULM alumni to update their directory information. It has been over five years since an update was made to the ULM alumni directory.

“This project is designed to bring together alumni from every era of institution’s proud history,” said ULM Director of Alumni Affairs Medria Buford. “We’re excited to reconnect with all who have helped shape our story,” she added.

PCI will contact alumni via postcard, email, or phone to confirm their contact information and invite them to share their personal memories. “We want to assure our alumni that these communications are legitimate and approved by the ULM Alumni Association,” said Buford.

The ULM Alumni Association says that alumni participation in the directory will give them updated information that helps them to better serve and engage all alumni. The process also serves to preserve the legacy of the university by recording stories that tell the history of the university. Lastly, this process helps to build connections across generations, bridging alumni from every time period and tradition.

Buford notes that the Alumni Association has only shared alumni contact information with PCI for the purposes of this project. No alumni contact information has been sold or released for any other use. “We are simply looking for help in honoring the legacy and future of our university–together,” said Buford.
