MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe is highlighting enrollment growth in key areas for the Fall 2025 semester. Undergraduate enrollment in the College of Health Sciences rose 4.75% compared to Fall 2024. Within the College of Health Sciences, graduate programs increased 9%, boosted by an additional cohort in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and the inaugural class of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program. Graduate enrollment university-wide rose 11%, while overall student headcount increased by about one percentage point.

Many degree programs saw a double-digit percentage increase in enrollment, such as Management, Marketing, Social Work, Education, Music, Atmospheric Science, Toxicology, and Construction Management.

“In my first semester as president of ULM, there is an excitement among the students on our campus. The energy is palpable as a new generation of Warhawks undertake an educational journey that will change their lives,” said ULM President Dr. Carrie L. Castille. “These enrollment increases in key areas show that we are leading the way in preparing our students for in-demand jobs in healthcare, business, and beyond.”

The ULM Honors Program saw a 10% increase in enrollment over Fall 2024, including the second-largest freshman class in its history.

The number of students living on campus has increased as well, with campus residence halls at 93% capacity, continuing to rebound each year since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

“We know that continued growth is possible, and we are hopeful for increases in the coming years. Our recruiters are in high schools throughout Louisiana and the surrounding states, telling students about the quality and affordability of a ULM education. I’ve visited schools myself and hosted high school students on campus. The future is bright and I’m confident that ULM’s best days are ahead,” said Castille.

“We invite all potential students to join us on campus for Browse on the Bayou on November 1 and see in person why the best is on the bayou!” she added.
