Copy Center

Location

1. The Copy Center is located in ADMN 1-18 and equipped with two-high speed, multifunction Canon machines. The machines can duplex, collate, staple and 3-hole punch. We shrink wrap your copies, and a shredder is there to destroy bad copies or old material.

2. The Center is staffed by Alma Stringfellow and Libby Smith.

3. Four satellite copier locations are as follows: CALD 217, CNSB 220, HANN 232 and STBS 101. Each satellite location has a ULM phone if you have questions or problems. Provisions supplied by your ULM Copy Center are: hand stapler, staple puller, 3-hole punch, pencils, pens, tape, paper shredder, paper cutter and counter work space.

You will use your CWID to access the room and to “login” to the machine. If you are the first to copy or there has been a 4 hour lapse in copy time, the Canon copier will take 3 minutes 45 seconds to warm up. After this when you swipe your card it is good for 60 seconds, should you complete your copy job before you have timed out press QUIT ENTER on the card reader.

4. While no limits on the number of copies currently exist, departments will be charged at a rate of $0.025 per copy. Two-sided copies will be billed as two copies and transparencies will be charged at a rate of $1.25 per copy to cover materials.

Delivery

Student workers will deliver completed materials to faculty offices. Always include your office hours on the Copy Request Form. If the faculty member is not in his/her office, the material will be returned to the Copy Center unless SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS specify something else such as delivery to the dean's office.

Sensitive material like exams will be handled only by the professional staff until they are shrink wrapped or shredded. This type material will be stored in a secure area in the Copy Center until they are picked up or delivered.

How you will copy or print material

1. Please use the Copy Center as your first resource. It provides the most complete service to you and is open Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30 and Friday 7-11. Jobs in by noon will be ready the next day by 7:30 AM. Both the hours of operation and turn-around time will be adjusted if necessary.

2. Satellite copiers should be used when you need something copied at the last minute.

3. Please follow the attached POLICY and PROCEDURES for the Copy Center.

4. If you have any problem with machine, call or email the Copy Center.
