Academic Common Market Out-of-State Fee Waiver
The Academic Common Market is an interstate agreement between the states comprising
the Southern Regional Education Board that allows for sharing academic programs through
an exchange of students across state lines. If an academic program is not offered
in one of these states, a student may be able to attend ULM and be exempt from out-of-state

Athletic Scholarships
Inquiries regarding athletic awards should be made directly to the appropriate athletic

Employee Fee Waiver
The University offers a partial tuition reduction to qualified employees or their
dependents. Guidelines may be found in the Employee Fee Waiver Policy and the Dependent
Fee Waiver Policy at

Louisiana National Guard Tuition Waiver
Under Louisiana Statute R.S. 29:36.1, certain members of the Louisiana National Guard
may be exempted from paying the tuition portion of fees. Contact the National Guard or the ULM Student Account Services office for more information.
Rockefeller Scholarship Program
This scholarship program is administered by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance. ULM contact person is Mary Schmeer, ULM Director of Enrollment and Scholarships, (318) 342-5321 or (800) 372-5127.
ROTC Scholarship
Four-year scholarships are available to eligible ULM students on a competitive basis.
Applications and information are available through the Military Science department at www.ulm.edu/rotc.
Talent Scholarships*
The School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA)offers talent grants in the areas of music, dance, theatre and art. These performance-based
awards are competitive and limited in number. Students wishing to audition should contact the appropriate department or the VAPA office at (318) 342-3811.
Spirit Scholarships*
Spirit scholarships are available for students on ULM’s dance team and cheer squad.

Vocational Rehabilitation Scholarships
This program is administered by the State of Louisiana for students with physical
handicaps. Students should check with their high school principal or counselor or the nearest Louisiana Rehabilitation Services Office.
