Canvas: Faculty FAQs 

I can’t see my course in Canvas. Why? 

The course dashboard only displays about 15 courses at a time. Select the yellow courses icon, all courses, and then star the courses that you would like to display on your dashboard. 

How can I create an assignment? 

You can visit the How to create an online assignment?  page provided by Canvas for further instructions. 

How do I get help with Canvas? 

You can visit our office in the University Library room 211 or contact Instructional Technology at (318)342-5050 or by email at canvas@ulm.edu during normal business hours. You can chat live 24/7 with Canvas support by using the “Help” link on the bottom left inside of Canvas after normal business hours. 

How do I request a cross-listed course in Canvas? 

Meta-course requests must be submitted and approved by a dean or program director before any material has been placed within the course. Contact Instructional Technology at canvas@ulm.edu to submit your request.
