Canvas: Student FAQs  

I can’t see my course in Canvas. Why? 

To view your course on Canvas, you must be officially enrolled in the course; and your instructor must have "published" the course to make it available to students.  

When will my courses be available? 

Canvas courses usually are not available until the first day of class. 

How do I get help with Canvas? 

You can visit our office in the University Library room 211 or contact Instructional Technology at (318)342-5050 or by email at canvas@ulm.edu during normal business hours. You can chat live 24/7 with Canvas support by using the “Help” link on the bottom left inside of Canvas after normal business hours.  

Will I need Respondus Lockdown Browser for Canvas? 

Yes. You can install it using the “Help” link on the bottom left inside of Canvas, or by visiting ulm.edu/it/canvas 

How can I upload an assignment? 

You can visit the How to submit an online assignment?  page provided by Canvas for further instructions. 

How can I view feedback from my instructor? 

You can visit the How do I view my feedback in my assignments? page provided by Canvas for further instructions.
