ULM vs Florida State Rescheduled for Dec. 2nd

Florida State will host ULM on Dec. 2 in Doak Campbell Stadium, FSU Vice President and Director of Athletics Stan Wilcox announced Tuesday. The game was rescheduled after the original date of Sept. 9 was canceled due to Hurricane Irma.

“I appreciate the efforts of our administration as well as the administration and Coach Viator at ULM to get this game rescheduled,” head coach Jimbo Fisher said. “It was unfortunate for both teams that we were not able to play this game in September, and both teams deserve the chance to play their 12th game of the season. Any time we have the opportunity to play in Doak Campbell Stadium in front of our fans we are excited. However, this week our complete focus is on Clemson.”

“Our student-athletes and coaches are looking forward to playing Florida State on Dec. 2,” ULM Athletics Director Nick Floyd said. “We deeply appreciate the cooperation of all parties involved who made it possible to reschedule this game.”

Kickoff time is set for Noon, with television to be determined. Tickets and parking passes previously issued for the original Sept. 9 game will be honored. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting Seminoles.com or by calling the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at 850-644-1830 or 888-378-6653 between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets are $30 for sideline seats, $25 for end zone sections and $12 for youths 18 and under.

The Seminoles’ September schedule was disrupted by the hurricane, which made landfall in Florida on Sept. 10 and impacted the majority of the state, including Tallahassee. In addition to being unable to play the ULM game, FSU’s home game against rival Miami was moved from Sept. 16 to Oct. 7. The delays led to Florida State waiting 21 days between its season opener against Alabama on Sept. 2 and returning to the field against North Carolina State on Sept. 23, tied for the third-longest break between regular season games in program history.

Florida State travels to 4th-ranked Clemson on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.
