College of Business and Social Sciences honors excellence

The College of Business and Social Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe held its 50th Annual Honors Banquet Thursday, April 26, in the ULM Bayou Pointe Event Center to honor outstanding students in the College of Business and Social Sciences.

The highest award given to a graduate from the College of Business and Social Sciences was the 2017-2018 Dean’s Award of Excellence presented to Stephen Paul Dieck of Slidell, LA.  He received $1,000.  He also received the Outstanding Graduate in Accounting Award.

The 2017-2018 Superior Scholar Award, which included $750, was presented to Pratik Siwakoti  of Kathmandu.

The 2017-2018 Distinguished Scholar Award, which included $500, went to Elizabeth Owens of Elgin, IL.  She also received the Outstanding Graduate in Finance Award and the Outstanding Beta Gamma Sigma Graduating Senior Award.    

The 2017-2018 Outstanding Scholar Award, which included $250, went to Anthony Kyle Autrey of Columbia, LA.  He also received the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Science Award.

The 2017-2018 Award of Commendation, which included $125, went to Cody Jordan of West Monroe, LA.  He also received the Outstanding Graduate in Business Administration Award.

Outstanding awards by program included:

Marshall McCraw received the 2017-2018 Outstanding Graduate Master of Arts – Criminal Justice Award.  Todd L. Walters was selected as the 2017 Outstanding Master of Business Administration Graduate.  Seth P. Tackett received the 2017-2018 Outstanding Graduate Master of Science – Psychology Award.  Jeremy Kent was selected as the 2017-2018 Outstanding Master of Public Administration Graduate.  Brennan T. Morris of Rayville, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Ag Business Award.  Casey Michelle Mulhearn of Kingwood, TX received the Outstanding Graduate in Aviation Award.  Kayla Southworth of Monroe, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems Award.  Abigail Antis of West Monroe, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Construction Management Award.  Jacob Hale of Prairieville, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Criminal Justice Award.  Scarlett Eaton of Mineral Wells, TX received the Outstanding Graduate in Management Award.  Joshua K. Usie of Monterey, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Marketing Award.  Shelby Rybicki of Prairieville, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Political Science Award.  Dustin White of Mount Pleasant, TX received the Outstanding Graduate in Psychology Award.  Hayden Williams of Shreveport, LA received the Outstanding Graduate in Risk Management and Insurance Award.  Kimberly L. Mayberry of Albany, GA received the Outstanding Graduate in Social Work Award.

Graduating senior awards were presented to students who have stayed the course to graduation and have distinguished themselves in their major.  Selected were John Michael Barnette of Stonewall, accounting; Bryce Bordelon of Leesville, construction management; Christine Bradshaw of Farmerville, criminal justice; Jerry Ehlers of South Brunswick, NJ, risk management and insurance; Harrison Heim of Tomball, TX, construction management; Eric Thaxton Hendrix of Bastrop, social work; Mattie Eloiese Kincannon of West Monroe, marketing; Cassidy Kunicyn of Toronto, Canada, finance; Bradley Lamartiniere of Marksville, aviation; Megan Long of Monroe, management; Giorgio Martini of Rivoli, Italy, marketing; Breck McCullen of Monroe, criminal justice; Aaron Drake McEachern of Shongaloo, risk management and insurance; Clayton C.
