Holidays at ULM features festivities on Monday, annual VAPA concert on Tuesday

‘Tis the season and the University of Louisiana at Monroe presents two festive events which are open to the campus and the community.

Holidays at ULM begins at 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 25 with the lighting of the beautiful Christmas tree in Scott Plaza.

President Nick J. Bruno, Jr., Ph.D., invites the Warhawk Family and the community to come and enjoy the activities and entertainment.

Presented by the Office of Student Life and Leadership, there will be cookie and ornament decorating, face painting, holiday games, performances by Miss Louisiana Meagan Crews and ULM student Bryce Lovelady, plenty of hot chocolate and hot apple cider, Ace and Warhawk Spirit Groups.

VAPA concert Tuesday

The School of Visual and Performing Arts’ annual Holidays at ULM Concert is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26 in Brown Theatre. The doors will open at 7 p.m. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend.

VAPA Director Derle Long, Ph.D., said, “The ULM Concert Choir and Wind Ensemble combine for an evening of festive music guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit.”

The performance includes traditional and non-traditional holiday tunes, featuring two unique arrangements by Monroe native composer Julie Giroux and an old-fashioned Christmas sing-a-long.
