MONROE, LA – The University of Louisiana Monroe School of Visual and Performing Arts is proud to present two exhibitions on ULM’s campus at Bry Hall Gallery, located at 4101 Desiard St.

The first exhibition is titled “Crabwalk” and is an Invitational Art Exhibition featuring artworks by artists from Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Oregon, Missouri, New York, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Florida, and Louisiana, and ranging in media from textiles to video as well as traditional art mediums.

“'Crabwalk' is an exhibition of the strange and surreal where curiosities appear side-by-side, and paradox runs rampant,” said Isa Gold, guest writer for Bayou Life Magazine.

“Crabwalk” runs from January 10 through February 1, 2024.

The second exhibition, “Seeking Connection,” is set to honor and celebrate Black History Month through the works of artist P. Michael LeBlanc. The photos on display will be from his “Office Portrait” series.

“Most of my portraits are made not just for the sake of my client, but as a tool I use for connection to humanity,” said LeBlanc. “In many cases in my life, photography (and the arts in general) was the first step of connection with the people in my life.”

“Seeking Connection” runs from February 7 – February 28, 2024.

Bry Hall Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm. and Friday from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.
