MONROE, La. — The University of Louisiana Monroe is gearing up to welcome incoming freshmen for its annual Preview, Registration, and Enrollment Program, better known as PREP, with the first session kicking off on June 10, 2026. PREP is a two-day orientation program designed to help incoming freshmen make a smooth transition to college life at ULM.

At PREP, future Warhawks will register for their first college courses, meet their first college friends, and learn the Warhawk Way.

“There’s nothing like the excitement and energy of our incoming freshmen at PREP,” said ULM President Dr. Carrie L. Castille. “This is an amazing opportunity for our next generation of students to fall in love with the campus where they’ll spend the next four years. Our PREP staff does an outstanding job of making these students feel welcome and getting them prepared for their first semester. I’m looking forward to seeing all the new faces at each of the sessions this summer.”

PREP sessions are led by PREP staff, a group of students who are trained throughout the year to prepare incoming freshmen for their ULM experience and ensure they have what they need to succeed.

“PREP is the most wonderful time of the year for our staff,” said Ahmaad Solmone, Director of Orientation and Special Projects, and leader of the PREP staff. “We strive to make these two days a fun and memorable experience for all of our incoming freshmen and transfer students who attend. We’re looking forward to another great year of showing that the best is on the bayou at ULM.”

PREP sessions will be held on the following dates:

  • June 10-11 (Scholarship Students Only)

  • June 24-25 (full)

  • July 8-9

  • July 15-16

Sessions are limited in size and are first-come, first-served. To attend a PREP session, participants must complete the online registration at ulm.edu/prep. Students with questions can call the PREP hotline at 1-800-372-5127 or email prep@ulm.edu

The Parent Orientation Program, or POP, will run concurrently with each PREP session. POP is designed to assist parents with pivotal information and resources, which prepare both parents and students for college.

Full information about registration for PREP and POP, including related fees, can be found at ulm.edu/prep
