Cost

  • All NSULA NA program contracts will be located within a dedicatied unit for up to 4 NSULA NA program students, who will rotate to the apartment for 2-4 month rotations.
  • Cost per NSULA NA program student is $300 per month and is covered by the DNP Program.

What is included in my apartment?

Your rent will be fully inclusive and include:

• Fully furnished: living & dining room furniture, desk & desk chair & full-size bed

• Appliances: in apartment refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and washer/dryer

• Utilities: Cable, Internet (Ethernet & Wireless), water, heat, electricity

What is included in my community?

Your rent will be fully inclusive and include:

• After-hours Resident Assistants and Emergency Maintenance

• Safety features: electronic building access, safety cameras

• Parking

Do I need an on-campus meal plan?

NSULA students are not required to purchase a meal plan during their rotation stay at ULM.

Can I have a pet if I live at Bayou Village Apartments?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in Bayou Village apartments, including visiting pets.

What are Bayou Village community standards / rules?

Bayou Village residents are subject to the University of Louisiana Monroe Code of Conduct and Housing and Residence Life policies located in the Guide to Residence Hall Living.

Where can I park if I live at Bayou Village Apartments?

Bayou Village has parking available but it is not guaranteed. NSULA students will be given information instructions upon arrival on how to obtain a temporary pass pass from ULM Police Department.

Move-In

NSULA Students will coordinate their date and time arrival with the program and the ULM Housing Operations Manager. In general, check-in will begin at the ULM Residential Life Main Office and must be within ULM business hours.

Rules and Regulations

As you will be staying with and among our students, we ask that you also comply with the rules and regulations found in our Guide to Residence Hall Living (http://www.ulm.edu/reslife/guide.html). Some major highlights are listed as follows:

  • Our campus, facilities, and living spaces are tobacco-free and alcohol-free.
  • Courtesy hours are in effect ALL the time. Quiet hours are Sun-Thu, 9p-9a and Fri-Sat, 11p-11a. Visitation Hours are Sun-Thu, 12 noon to 12 midnight and Fri-Sat, 12 noon – 2a
  • NSULA Students are held responsible for damages that occur to the room and its furnishings during their occupancy.
  • Rooms should be kept in an orderly manner so that Residential Life staff can properly assess any maintenance needs. NSULA Students are responsible for keeping their bath area clean and tidy.
  • NSULA Students must dispose of their trash in the proper bins in various collection areas. Do not leave trash around the outside of your unit.
  • No pets, with the exception of registered service animals/assistance animals, will be allowed in the premises.
  • Guests must be accompanied by the NSULA Student when entering the building, while in the unit, and when leaving the building. Guests are not permitted to be in the building/unit/room without their NSULA Student. Out of respect for your fellow students, no overnight guests will be allowed.
  • Familiarize yourself with evacuation procedures, fire/smoke evacuation, and severe weather procedures.
  • The University reserves the right to enter rooms for the purpose of inspecting the premises for adherence to fire, health and/or life safety guidelines and university and state policies.

Staff Member on Duty Information

The Residential Student Staff Members serve as the point person for the hall. They are prepared to assist residents with many concerns – personal, social, academic, and environmental – as well as to assist students in developing and accepting responsibility for their own actions.

Contact the Staff Member on Duty to have them assist with lock-outs, noise disturbances, roommate/suitemate conflicts, general housing questions, etc. The Staff Member on Duty for each night will have a sign posted by the main entrance or in the lobby of the building, containing their identity and contact information.

Each building has a staff member on duty every night. 

Weekdays from 7 PM to 7 AM

Weekends from Friday 1 PM to Monday 7 AM, with exceptions to meal breaks.

Maintenance Requests

Our Maintenance Staff can take care of a variety issues. We will take care of light bulbs, appliance issues, pest control, etc. Please contact 318-342-5240 or reslife@ulm.edu to have them complete a work order. If it is a true emergency (overflowing water, A/C out, broken unit door), please contact the Staff Member on Duty.

Mailing

To receive packages while you are staying with us, please use the format below as it helps the ULM Post Office and Residential Life in identifying proper package acceptance:

NSULA Students are notified by email, provided by NSULA, that a package has arrived for them and they must provide an ID to pick up the mail. If you cannot pick up the post by 5 pm, please call us to make arrangements.

Vehicles

If you plan to operate a vehicle on-campus, please visit with the ULM Police Department to register your vehicle for your stay. Their phone number is 318-342-5350 or visit http://ulm.edu/police/vehicle-registration.html.

Activity Center/Gym

If you would like to, the ULM Activity Center should be open. NSULA Students may sign-up for membership by visiting the facility. Their phone number is 318-342-5305 or visit http://www.ulm.edu/recserv/.

As we are closing out your stay with us, here are a few things to remember:

  1. To assist you in your checkout! Some things to do are:
    1. Clean and cleanse the room, bathroom and all common areas.
    2. Remove all personal items from the room and common areas. Unit furnishing should be in order
    3. Remove food that will spoil and all trash to the dumpster.
    4. Close and lock the windows.
    5. Complete the Express Checkout Envelope in the ULM Residential Life main office, seal with keys and ID card inside.
  2. Do not order packages that will not arrive before you leave.
