ULM is home to the only mock trial team at a public institution in the state.

The Carbon Flux Tower is ULM’s newest biology research tool, monitoring carbon dioxide concentrations in a bottomland hardwood forest, placing ULM on the national and global map for research along with the likes of Duke University, Harvard University, and The University of California, Davis.

ULM collaborates with Fortune 500 Company CenturyLink to launch “Reader Leaders,” and “Saturday Academies,” which provide education resources through technology for local students.

NASA awards ULM’s College of Arts, Education and Sciences a grant to fund academic outreach programs as part of NASA’s Summer of Innovation.

ULM’s Child Development Center received its fifth consecutive 5-star rating, the highest rating in the state for Child Development and Early Learning Centers from the Louisiana Quality Start School Readiness Rating System.

ULM’s online masters in education degree was ranked 103rd in the nation by U.S. News & World Report making it the highest ranked program of its kind in Louisiana.
