MINDFEST Event 

ULM HELPS - MINDFEST is an awarness campaign to HELP open a dialog about mental health on campus and Send Silence Packing 

MINDFEST 2013

TIME:                      9:00 a.m.-3:00 pm
LOCATION:          Scott Plaza Fountain at the Quad (ULM Library Fountain)

We are already starting to plan for next year's event, and we want to build upon the success of a great event.  More details will be available soon.

According to www. take5tosavelives.com, “More people in the world die from suicide than war and murder combined.  September 10, 2012 is World Suicide Prevention Day, and you can make a difference. Suicide is preventable. By taking 5 minutes to get involved and become informed, you will be a part of a worldwide movement to save lives.” Take 5 by:

1. Learning
Take the time to learn the warning signs of suicide. Take the free QPR training
face-to-face at ULM or online by searching for the “QPR Online” class.

2. Joining
Join ULM HELPS facebook page, volunteer with ULM HELPS or join the ULM
Active Minds RSO, and join a national organization like take5tosavelives.com

3. Spreading
Make a commitment to tell ve people about World Suicide Prevention Day.

4. Supporting
If you know someone who is struggling, learn how to HELP.

5. Reaching
If you are concerned about your thoughts or feelings, see a caring professional at ULM or talk to a friend or family member. For help now call 800-273-TALK (8255).
