Honors Program

How to Apply to the Program

Incoming ULM freshmen are encouraged to prepare an application packet, based on Steps 1-2 listed below, if you:

  1. have a composite ACT score of 27 or above or an SAT (critical reading plus math) score of 1210 or above (these can be waived under special circumstances);
  2. complete a Honors Program Application.

If the student's score is below 27 on ACT or 1210 on SAT his/her application will not be considered complete until two letters of recommendations and an unofficial transcript have been sent to stockley@ulm.edu or Dr. Joshua Stockley, ULM Honors Program, 700 University Avenue, Monroe LA 71209

ULM students who do not meet this requirement may be admitted provisionally if their grades and letter of recommendations are exemplary. Transfer students may be eligible for admission based on their grades and letter of recommendations.

Send your application packets to:

Dr. Joshua Stockley
ULM Honors Program
700 University Avenue
Monroe LA 71209

Application packets are accepted anytime; however, to receive full consideration, secure honors housing, and qualify for University-wide priority scholarships incoming students should apply by December 1st.

To receive full consideration and secure honors housing students should apply by April 1st.  Late applications will be accepted until prior to the fall semester.

If admitted to the Honors Program, there is a non-refundable admission fee of $30.00.
