ULM Honors Program - How to Apply
Incoming ULM freshmen are encouraged to prepare an application packet, based on Steps 1-4 listed below, if you:
- Have an enhanced ACT score of 27 or above (this can be waived under special circumstances)
- Write a brief statement in which you discuss a life or intellectual experience that has influenced your thinking and how knowledge of that experience could benefit other Honors Program students
- Provide three (3) letters of recommendation
- Provide an Official copy of your High School transcript
The Honors Program will also accept applications packets from ULM freshmen or first semester sophomores who have an ACT score of 25 or higher. ULM students who do not have this requirement may be admitted provisionally if their grades and recommendations are exemplary. Students who have completed some other university work may be eligible for admission based on their grades and recommendations

Application packets are accepted anytime. However to receive full consideration, students should apply by April 15 prior to the fall semester.
If admitted to the Honors Program, there is a non-refundable admission fee of $30.00.
