An enrichment program specifically developed to provide the highest quality of musical training for young artists, the Prep Academy of Music is a balanced, performance-based program seeking to complement the currently established music education programs of the Northeast Louisiana region through the coordination and cooperation of artists/teachers of the Monroe area. The program is centered on three foundations of musical training: performance, theory, and chamber music.

It is open to students ages 3 through adult of all levels of ability regardless of race, color, or nationality.

We offer private lessons on all instruments of the string, woodwind, brass, and percussion families, in addition to piano (except guitar- sorry!). Students ages 3 through high school are encouraged to study at the ULM Prep Academy. In addition to private lessons, enrolled students will attend one or several of the many enrichment classes, such as music theory, group lessons, and chamber music. The culmination of this program is demonstrated in performance recitals at the conclusion of each academic semester.
