It's up to each of us to keep Louisiana's rivers, bayous, and lakes clean. That's the idea behind ULM's Bayou Desiard Clean-Up Team.
The Toxicology Department within the College of Pharmacy at ULM recently received funding through the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality to identify and implement programs and practices that will reduce and control nonpoint sources of pollution to Bayou Desiard.
The ULM Toxicology Department can help you choose a great Bayou Desiard Clean-Up water project for your school, organization or community group. Click on the links to choose an activity and to learn ways to improve water quality in Bayou Desiard. The Toxicology Department offers a wide variety of field projects, classroom presentations, and laboratory exercises designed to increase your knowledge about pollution sources, ways to monitor for pollution, and ways to reduce pollution.
