ULM has won a permanent place in my heart. I fell in love with the campus and the people during my PREP session after being reluctant to even come here in the first place. By the time my first fall semester had ended, I had joined several student groups and was a proud Warhawk that was really involved on campus. Over the next two years, I performed plays, advanced in CAB rankings, joined Greek Life, participated in ULM's Fencing Club, became an Emerging Scholar, and became a member of other clubs. Now, I am a CAB Officer, a member of PREP Staff, and am working in our telecounseling center so that I can give back and help new Warhawks get the life changing experience that I had when I first came in three years ago.

Choosing to attend ULM has allowed me to build new friendships, discover brothers in my Greek organization, and to find my future wife. I am so appreciative of the fact that I am a student and not just a number on this campus. Being involved on campus is so important; you can be whatever you want and find a place for yourself. You don't always have to know what you want to do for the rest of your life, you can come to ULM, like I did, and discover yourself!

ULM has shown me my potential both as a student and a leader. In the classroom, ULM has exceeded my expectations by providing caring professors, excellent in their respective fields, and awesome resources such as free tutoring. Being involved with campus organizations has allowed me to discover leadership and communication skills that I will utilize for the rest of my life. As a Monroe native, this university has always been a part of my life, but nothing can compare to the excitement of actually being a Warhawk. From the sense of community to the beautiful campus and academics, I have discovered a great love for my hometown university.
