Throughout my time here at ULM, I have discovered that I have many great skills to offer in the real world. ULM has helped me develop each and every one of them. I was chosen to become a Peer Leader and a PREP Staff member. While those duties were a big responsibility, I saw how those activities increased my people skills and my time management abilities. I knew I'd made the right choice by attending ULM. Having such a supportive and positive staff pushes you to achieve any goal you have set.

I have discovered that I am an independent person at ULM, and that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Being involved with PREP staff and Hawkseekers taught me skills I will use for the rest of my life. I have developed better public speaking skills, and I have learned how to manage my time. I think both are important aspects of being a leader. Being a leader has taught me to value everything ULM has to offer because being on the other side of the university shows me how great it truly is! I have made lifelong friendships while attending ULM! The first way I made lifelong friendships was through my sorority Kappa Delta. When I made PREP staff I was the happiest freshman on this campus! Through these two organizations I have met some people who have changed my life significantly! I understand that I have to work hard for what I want because then I truly deserve it! ULM has given me the opportunity to become a person that I never was in high school, which is why I love it so much! Now I actually enjoy going to classes because I am studying subjects I truly care about!
