Scholarships for Transfer Students

All recipients must be U.S. citizens, first time, full-time enrollment at ULM, and pursuing their first degree (associate or bachelor). GPA and earned hours are calculated on all college-level course work (remedial course work is not calculated for GPA and earned hours). Students admitted to the professional pharmacy program are ineligible for transfer scholarships.

Community College Achievement Award* ($1000 per year/$2000 total)
To qualify for this award, students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative collegiate transfer GPA and earned 45-70 college-level hours at a community college. The award is valid for four semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first. To retain the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time, continuous enrollment (fall and spring semesters); successfully earn a minimum of 30 hours each academic year at the awarding institution, August through July (credits from Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, CLEP or credit by exam are not included in earned hours); maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester; and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Freshman Transfer Award* (award amount varies)
Students who have completed no more than one semester (minimum 12 hours) or one quarter (minimum 9 hours), who transfer with a minimum 3.0 GPA on college-level courses at their previous institution, and who met all requirements defined for Freshman Academic Scholarships for the previous year are eligible to receive the amount equal to that Freshman Academic Scholarship for seven semesters, or graduation, whichever comes first (as funds are available). To retain the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time, continuous enrollment (fall and spring semesters); successfully earn a minimum of 30 hours each academic year at the awarding institution, August through July (credits from Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, CLEP or credit by exam are not included in earned hours); maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester; and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Award* ($1200 per year/$2400 total)
Members of Phi Theta Kappa with a 3.5 minimum cumulative collegiate transfer GPA on all college-level courses are eligible for this scholarship as funds are available. The award is valid for four semesters or graduation, whichever comes first. To retain the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time, continuous enrollment (fall and spring semesters); successfully earn a minimum of 30 hours each academic year at the awarding institution, August through July (credits from Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, CLEP or credit by exam are not included in earned hours); maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester; and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Transfer Performance Award* ($500 per year/$1000 total)
To qualify for this award, students must be transferring from a four-year college, have a minimum 23 ACT/1060 SAT (official scores required), and a 3.0 minimum cumulative transfer GPA on all college-level courses. The award is valid for four semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first. To retain the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time, continuous enrollment (fall and spring semesters); successfully earn a minimum of 30 hours each academic year at the awarding institution, August through July (credits from Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, CLEP or credit by exam are not included in earned hours); maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester; and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Scholastic Transfer Award* ($1000 per year/$2000 total)
Students transferring from a four-year college/university with a minimum 27 ACT/1210 SAT (official scores required) and have earned a 3.0 minimum cumulative collegiate transfer GPA are eligible for this scholarship. The award is valid for four semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first. To retain the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time, continuous enrollment (fall and spring semesters); successfully earn a minimum of 30 hours each academic year at the awarding institution, August through July (credits from Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, CLEP or credit by exam are not included in earned hours); maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester; and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
