Josh Hall of Springhill is a senior biology major with a minor in chemistry.

I have one older brother, Jalon, who is 24 years old, which makes me the baby of the family.

I am the vice president of the Alpha Epsilon Delta medical school society. I am also involved in Alpha Lambda Delta, Beta Beta Beta, BCM, ULM Scouts, HHMI Undergraduate Research Program, and the MedStars program where I volunteer at EA Conway Hospital. The HHMI Undergraduate Research Program might as well be considered my job because I spend all of my time there. However, on the holidays and long breaks, I go back home where I have a job waiting for me there too.

After I graduate from ULM, I plan to attend medical school and become a radiologist. As a child I was very accident prone and spent many nights in the hospital. While in the hospital, I became fascinated with all of the technology equipment that the radiologist used, and I wanted to be like that one day. Now that I am actually in school learning about the body and how it works, it makes me want to become a radiologist even more.

My favorite spot on campus would have to be the Activity Center because it is a place where I can get away from all of the stress and worries that I have from my classes.

One of my favorite professors at ULM is Dr. Allison Wiedemeier because she is not only a great professor in the classroom, but she is also a great person outside of her classroom. Getting to know her better through the HHMI research project has made an impact on my life that I can carry throughout the rest of my career.

I first came to ULM wanting to tryout for the baseball team, but I decided that if I wanted to get into medical school, I would have to focus very hard and spend most of my time on my studies.

Even though I have a lot of great memories here at ULM, the one that sticks out the most is when I played OOZEBALL for the BCM team in the freezing cold rain. The conditions may have been rough, but we still had a great time.

Josh's ULMULM has helped me grow and become the person I am today by introducing me to some of the most important people in my life. I will keep in touch with these people and have them to rely on throughout the rest of my life. Secondly, it has provided me with enough education to reassure me that I will have no problems reaching my goals in the future.

Great Education, Good Times, Bright Future
