Black History Month ULM invites public to join in Black History Month events during February

Throughout the month of February and in honor of Black History Month, ULM will provide educational and entertaining concerts and movies, as well as host guest speakers and artists who have all made viable contributions to the African American community.

The Fray to play during ULM Spring Fever
Week April 27

February 1, 2012 - ULM's Campus Activities Board is excited to announce that the Grammy-nominated band, The Fray, will headline this year’s Spring Fever concert in conjunction with the City of Monroe’s annual DeltaFest. The concert will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, April 27, at the Monroe Civic Center during ULM's annual Spring Fever Week.

ULM police officers recognized for crisis intervention skills

February 2, 2012 - ULM Police Officers Lt. Dan Chason and Officer Steven Mahon were recently recognized for their skill and training Jan. 26 at the Northeast Delta Crisis Intervention Team annual awards banquet at the West Monroe Convention Center.

ULM alum and Pulitzer Prize winner to speak during Black History Month Feb. 6

February 2, 2012 - As a part of the University of Louisiana at Monroe's celebration of Black History Month, Irwin Thompson, (B.A. '84) assistant director of photography for the Dallas (Tex.) Morning News, will speak on campus Monday, Feb. 6.
