Technical Definitions:  You are expected to know all of the following terms at different points in the semester.  You will be asked about them on a variety of assessments and to use the terms appropriately while writing about our readings.

Unit One -- The First of the Modern Poets -- Dickinson and Whitman

Look up and memorize the literary terms and examples of these terms during the first two weeks of the semester.  Expect these terms to be on a quiz focused on these definitions and examples as well as on periodic objective tests during the semester.
