Bard
	Bards had privileged positions in Medieval days.  The Romantics wished for and argued for the return of this privileged poetic position.  Recall, for instance, that the "voice of the Bard in the "Introduction" to Songs to Experience was able to return the Earth to the people.  Percy Shelley called poets/bards the "unacknowledged legislators of the world."
