Montgomery Distinguished Service Award, College Media Advisers, for work without which "many college stations' Internet presence -- for many of them their only presence -- would have been silenced." The award is conferred to an individual or institution that has made an outstanding contribution to collegiate media or media advising (November, 2003).
- Special Commendation, Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc., for work in securing an appropriate webcasting royalty scheme (November, 2003).
- Distinguished Four-Year Broadcast Adviser, the fifth honoree selected by College Media Advisers since the 1993 inception of this award (October, 2002).
- First Place Award, entertainment category, Broadcast Education Association's Interactive Multi-Media Division juried faculty competition, for KXUL Radio web site development. The site was additionally recognized for "Exceptional Merit On-line" (April, 2001).
