Platform presentations are encouraged, but have historically been reserved for students (graduate students receiving highest priority*). Students of any level may also elect to present by poster format. Postdoctoral associates are most definitely invited to present their research as part of the poster sessions.
*In the event that more requests for platform presentations are received than time constraints allow, priority will be based on scope/extent of results as evidenced by the abstract, or balance of institutional representation, or faculty sponsors may be contacted so that more-senior graduate students can be accorded priority. All remaining presentations will automatically be included in the poster session, and any affected authors will be contacted concerning any such proposed changes as quickly as possible.
On a page separate from the abstract, please indicate:
Abstracts will be included as full pages in the conference proceedings booklet. We suggest, however, that you aim for brevity—restricting to a maximum 250 words is strongly encouraged. Please use a 12-point type, single-spaced, in Times New Roman font. Including graphics (structures, e.g.) is highly encouraged. Please allow at least a 1.0" margin left, right, top, and bottom. Ideally, aim to limit your content including any structures to the top two-thirds of the page.
For uniformity, please adopt the following format for author and title information:

You may, however, wish to provide full author given names rather than simply initials. The name of the presenting author should be underlined, and the primary faculty adviser/sponsor should be indicated with an asterisk (*).
Please submit your abstract by E-mail as a portable document format (.pdf) attachment, and also (please) as an MSWord file. If you use a document scanner to make your pdf, please use at least 300 d.p.i. resolution.
Please send your submission via e-mail to:
elsayed@ulm.edu or rhill@ulm.edu (Please send only one E-mail, but you may if you wish Cc: the other of us.)You should receive a confirming E-mail within two business days of sending; if not, please confirm reciept via an additional E-mail or by telephone.
