About Agribusiness:

The Agribusiness Curriculum provides a base of knowledge and training which supports regional, national, and international career opportunities in the production, processing, and distribution (marketing) of food, fiber, and oil-based products.

The Agribusiness program is designed to provide students with maximum flexibility in meeting individual needs and enhancing employability. Through selection of appropriate elective courses, the student may concentrate in the following area or obtain a minor in: Business. In addition to an Agribusiness major, the student will receive minors in Agricultural Economics and General Agriculture.

Agribusiness Degree:

Agribusiness involves the production, commercial processing, and marketing of food and fiber products. Because this food and fiber system accounts for over 22 percent of our nation's economic output and 20 percent of the total U.S. work force, the agriculturalist of tomorrow must be knowledgeable in a diversity of disciplines in order to meet the challenges facing the agricultural industry. As an Agribusiness graduate, you will have acquired knowledge in marketing, finance, management, production and processing methods, international trade, environmental aspects, technological improvements, consumer preferences, and demographic changes.
