The Warhawk Network FAQs

The Warhawk Network is an online social and professional network to help you keep in touch with your fellow alums. The ULM Alumni Association has partnered with Affinity Circles, Inc., a company that specializes in creating online communities.

Online communities may be new to you, so we've prepared a brief set of Frequently Asked Questions, or FAQs, to help you get started with the Warhawk Network.

What is the Warhawk Network?

The Warhawk network is an online community where ULM alumni, faculty and staff can interact online with other ULM alumni, faculty and staff to create social and professional networks.

Similar to the popular MySpace® and FaceBook®  Web sites, users can share information, set up groups of friends, post and share pictures, and in general stay connected to each other and the university.

How can I sign on?

You should have received your individualized Warhawk Network account credentials: login/ID information and password. You will use your login/ID information and password to initially access your account.

If you have not received your login credentials and would like to participate in the Warhawk Network, call (866) WARHAWK (927-4295) or email warhawknetwork@ulm.edu.

You can login to the Warhawk Network from any computer with an Internet connection and web browser.

What’s the web address (or URL)?

The Warhawk Network’s web address (or URL) is https://ulm.affinitycircles.com/. 

You can also link directly to the Warhawk Network login page from the ULM Alumni Web site (www.ulm.edu/alumni) and click on the Warhawk Network logo.

OK, I’m logged in. What next?

Once you are logged on to the Warhawk Network, you have full access to add information about yourself. You can add as little or as much as you want. You can also change the information whenever you want. You have complete control of your profile information. 

Only friends of your choosing within the Warhawk Network can see the profile information you post.

I have friends who are alums from other universities. Can they join the Warhawk Network?

No. Only ULM alumni, faculty and staff can join and participate in the Warhawk Network.

Is my information secure on the Warhawk Network?

Absolutely! Your information is stored on secure, state-of-the-art data servers housed in a safe, physical environment. In addition, any time you connect to The Warhawk Network, your data is encrypted with 128-bit encryption, the same encryption standard used by financial institutions.

You can always be assured of a secure connection with the Warhawk Network because the URL starts with “https” – the “s’” meaning secure. Your web browsers should also display a small icon that looks like a closed padlock, representing a secure, encrypted connection.

Who has access to my information other than me?

Other than the information you let users of the Warhawk Network see on your profile page, only authorized representatives of the ULM Alumni Association have access to your information. Affinity Circles, Inc., who manages The Warhawk Network Web site, will only access information upon authorization from the ULM Alumni Association.

This is cool! But what if someone posts lies or other inappropriate material on the Warhawk Network?

When you initially logon to the Warhawk Network, you agree to post information that is valid and not to post lies, inappropriate or illegal materials.

The ULM Alumni Association is confident all users of the Warhawk Network will be responsible with all information they post online.

While the ULM Alumni Association won’t moderate or police every entry on the Warhawk Network, we will respond to complaints about inappropriate postings. In most cases, if the material is deemed inappropriate for the Warhawk Network, ULM and/or Affinity Circles, Inc. will remove the material and the offender warned. Subsequent offenses may result in the loss of privileges.

What if I’m having problems with the Warhawk Network?

The ULM alumni staff can help you through any issues with the Warhawk Network. You may also contact the Warhawk Network at warhawknetwork@ulm.edu.

There is no help link to Affinity Circles, Inc.
