Abundant opportunities at ULM for hands-on experience provides the foundation for students to become successful media professionals. Co-curricular activities complement classroom learning to provide a complete educational experience for our students.

Student Media

KXUL Radio

KXUL -- or 91X, as it is known -- is the 8,500-watt student-staffed FM radio station operated within the department. 91X is on the air with its modern rock format 24 hours each day, throughout the year. Students of all majors and classes are invited to join the 91X staff of volunteers. A limited number of work-study positions are available for the more experienced on-air staff members of the station, and for the station's student managers.
