Student Guild

MISSION STATEMENT : Our mission is to expose Guild members to the field of construction and to provide quality activities promoting leadership and unification.

The ULM School of Construction Guild is an organization made up of four groups including the Associated General Contractors (AGC), the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), and the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). It is comprised of and oriented around construction students. The two main purposes of the Guild are to initiate student careers and to have fun.

Here is how the guild can benefit you:

For incoming freshmen, the Guild is a good place to meet other construction students and to learn what the construction department is about.

For sophomores and juniors, the Guild is a great opportunity to get ready for your career. You can get involved with many trade organizations, the student competitions, and many other activities. The Guild activities will help you get involved and noticed by many construction companies. When students approach graduation, the more involved they are, the more job offers they receive.

Every year the Guild sends representatives to the national conventions. Students willing to put forth a little effort can easily be involved in these activities.Guild members also want to have some fun. There will be a tailgate party sponsored by the Guild, an annual banquet to raise money for the convention, hamburger cookouts, a spring crawfish boil, flag football, and other activities.
