  • The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking a Public Policy Coordinator in Louisiana to handle statewide activities.

    The coordinator will participate on various task forces/committees for the purpose of representing the needs of persons with Alzheimer’s disease in the rebuilding efforts in LA.  The coordinator will enact strategies and tactics to advocate for those with dementia and promote awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.   Key responsibilities include: legislative activities, regulatory state budget analysis; grassroots advocacy and coalition building. 

    Requirements:  3-5 years experience working in public policy/advocacy activities with specific knowledge of health policy.  Knowledge of LA’s legislative, regulatory and lobbying laws.  Experience coordinating volunteers for grassroots advocacy.  BA/BS in political science, public administration or related field.  Ability to work independently and to travel throughout the state of LA.
