  • The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking a Public Policy Coordinator in Louisiana to handle statewide activities.

    The coordinator will participate on various task forces/committees forthe purpose of representing the needs of persons with Alzheimer’sdisease in the rebuilding efforts in LA.  The coordinator willenact strategies and tactics to advocate for those with dementia andpromote awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.   Keyresponsibilities include: legislative activities, regulatory statebudget analysis; grassroots advocacy and coalition building. 

    Requirements:  3-5 years experience working in publicpolicy/advocacy activities with specific knowledge of healthpolicy.  Knowledge of LA’s legislative, regulatory andlobbying laws.  Experience coordinating volunteers for grassrootsadvocacy.  BA/BS in political science, public administration orrelated field.  Ability to work independently and to travelthroughout the state of LA.
