Faculty
involved with both the traditional and Online Gerontology M.A.
and Certificate Programs strive to incorporate a multidisciplinary
aspect to coursework and research opportunities at ULM. All
4 colleges and more than 10 departments at ULM are represented
by our gerontology faculty. Our faculty and graduate students
are actively engaged in advancing the knowledge in the field
of gerontology. Some areas of teaching and research interest
include: Alzheimer's disease, prescription drugs and the elderly,
older workers, housing and the elderly, minority aging, public
policy, technology and aging, psychology of aging, economics
of aging, substance abuse, HIV, oral histories, nutrition and
aging, aging with disabilities and death & dying to name
a few.
Many
research and educational opportunities exist for the undergraduate

today! To be eligible for enrollment in the Online or
Traditional M.A. or Certificate in Gerontology programs., students
must meet the admission standards to the graduate school and
the gerontology program requirements.
