Durrett, Director 342-5316 durrett@ulm.edu SWIM FACTS It takes 72 lengths or 36 Laps to equal a mile when the pool is in short course yards configuration. In the long course configuration, it takes 30 lengths or 15 laps to equal a mile. The Lake C. Oxford Natatorium was built in 1976 and renovated in 1996. In October of 2003, a new chlorinating system was installed. In January 2005, a new boiler and air conditioning system were installed. The Natatorium houses two indoor, heated pools; one is a 50 meter by 25 yard competition pool and the other is a 25 yard by 12.5 yard diving well. The diving well has 2 one-meter boards and 2 three-meter boards. A sundeck, which overlooks the beautiful Bayou DeSiard, has ample deck chairs and tables with umbrellas that are perfect for sunbathing or enjoying a picnic lunch. Our members can enjoy swimming, canoeing or paddle boating down the bayou, or just lounging around our pool deck area. For geographical information, link to the campus map		Lake C. Faculty/Staff 12 month - $10.00/month; $20.00/month family 2. Faculty/Staff 9 month - $13.33/month; $26.66/month family 3. Alumni $15/month individual or $160/year $25/month alumni and spouse or $275/year $35/month family or $385/year 4. Special $20/month individual or $220/year $30/month spouses or $330/year $40/month family or $440/year ID Card All members need an I.D. Card. There is a one-time charge of $10.00. Guests Guests may be brought for an additional charge of $2.00 per person. A member may bring up to 5 guests at one time. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult member. Members may schedule birthday parties for a fee of $60.00 that includes 15 people; $75.00 for 16-25 people. Locker Rental Lockers are available to rent for $10.00 per semester. Hours of Operation OFFICE HOURS: Monday through Friday - 6 AM until 9 AM and 12PM until 7:15 PM Saturday - 10 AM until 2 PM LAP SWIMMING HOURS Monday through Friday - 6 AM until 9 AM and 12 PM until 1PM LAP AND RECREATIONAL SWIMMING HOURS Monday through Friday - 1 PM until 7:15 PM Aquatic Fitness Classes The Natatorium is closed when school is not is session and for special events. During the semester breaks, the natatorium is on an interim schedule. Our holiday schedule is: Closed on April 6-14 May 7-June 3 on Interim Schedule Closed on May 28 Summer Schedule begins June 4 Interim Schedule 6-8 AM, 11-1 PM, 5-7:15 PM Monday- Friday, Closed Saturday Special Programs Group swim lessons* are also offered during the year Parent/child aquatic program-ages 6 months to 3 years old Children ages 4-17 Adult *Group lessons are scheduled to begin in May (sign-up begins in April), other swim lessons are available by appointment only Water Safety Instructors Courses Other programs have included summer swim league, scuba classes, and lifeguard training classes.
