For your safety and enjoyment, we implore you to please observe the following policies:

  • Only current Natatorium members and their registered guests may use the facility during recreational hours.  Every one must register at the front desk and must present a VALID ULM ID.
  • All members with guests must stay together throughout the guests’ time at the Natatorium.
  • You may only bring 5 guests at a time.  For each guest, there is a $2.00 fee.
  • No one may enter the pool area/water unless a ULM lifeguard or supervisor/ instructor/coach is present on the pool deck.
  • You must obey the lifeguards at all times.
  • Only one person on the diving boards at a time.  Divers should look before diving and dive straight.  Take only one bounce and swim to the nearest ladder.
  • Swimming is allowed in the diving well only when people are not diving.
  • Acceptable swimwear is expected.  Please do not wear gym shorts, cut-offs, cotton shorts, t-shirts, undergarments (sports bras or underwear), leotards, etc.
  • Due to a choking hazard, gum and candy are prohibited in the mouth while in the water or on the pool deck.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed on the pool deck.  Water in a plastic bottle is welcomed.
  • Glass containers of any kind are not allowed in the building.
  • The Natatorium (and sundeck) is a smoke-free facility.
  • If a child under the age of 13 is swimming, an adult member must be present.
  • No running or rough play is allowed in the lobby, on the pool deck, or on the sun deck.
  • The competition pool is too shallow for diving.  Diving is welcomed in the diving well only.
  • The starting blocks are to be used by competitive swimmers when a coach is on the pool deck.
  • No shoes are allowed on the pool deck (with the exception of the professional staff, coaches, and aquatic fitness class instructors.)
  • Equipment is reserved for the lap swimmers.
  • For your safety, inflatable objects (floaties, rafts, buoys, etc.) are not allowed in the pool.  Only United States Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted.  If a child is wearing a life jacket, an adult guardian must be beside them in the water at all times (within arm’s reach).
  • Bicycles must be parked in designated areas.  Bicycles, roller blades, skates, or skate boards are not permitted in the building.
  • If you are at the Natatorium for a class, party, special event, practice, etc. you may not enter the water until your instructor or coach is present on the pool deck or your activity begins.
  • Neither ULM nor the Natatorium staff is responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Each semester, small lockers are available for rent for $10.00.  The private locker room is available for $25.00 per semester.
