Olin Hall Implosion

Olin Hall, a landmark on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe for years, was imploded on Saturday, September 25 at 10 a.m. The hall, built in the late 1960's, has endured preparation for its demolition for weeks (picture). A champagne brunch was held the morning of the animated images of implosionimplosion in the University Conference Center on the 7th floor of the ULM Library. Guests had a bird's eye view of the building.

The date of the implosion coincided with the ULM Indian Football game against Arkansas State University at Malone Stadium. Plans to bring down Olin have been in the works for months.
