As the needs of higher education continue to grow, more and more private funds are needed to enable the ULM College of Pharmacy to produce and maintain excellent academic, research and service programs that directly enhance the health and environment of the State of Louisiana and beyond.
There are many ways and reasons to give to the College of Pharmacy. You may give by direct cash or check, online via ULM Alumni Giving (select College of Pharmacy) or planned giving. Planned Giving is a way an ever increasing number of ULM alumni and friends are benefiting from life income gifts, gift annuities and other estate plans, which provide wonderful benefits from generous tax savings to increased income. As a caring benefactor, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you've helped secure a brighter future for generations of ULM College of Pharmacy students to come.

Another option for giving is the Dufilho Society. Louis J. Dufilho was the first individual licensed pharmacist in the state of Louisiana. He operated a pharmacy loacted at 514 Chartres St. in New Orleans. We are proud of the rich and exciting history of our state and hope you will join us in sharing that pride through this society.
Funds generated by the society will be utilized to maintain and improve areas of special need such as supplementation of the holdings of the Drug Information Center, implementation of pharmaceutical care and patient counseling activities, software for computer-assisted teaching and student development activities. While we have numerous immediate needs, we do recognize the importance of planning for the future with the belief that the trend toward additional needs for private support will continue. Therefore, depending on the needs in any particular year, we will be placing between 25% and 50% of funds derived through this program into an endowment which will generate interest that can be used for the priority needs of the College.
