I have joined several, and they have allowed me to meet new people and enhance my communication skills and sense of responsibility. The amazing professors and learning atmosphere have pushed me further than my original expectations. ULM has given me an unforgettable and unparalleled college experience.

My older sister was a junior when I participated in a campus tour of ULM. As the baby sister, I didn't always want to follow in her footsteps, but ULM felt like home to me after just one day of being on campus. Meeting the president during my tour made me feel so special, and I began to understand how much this university cared about me as a student and as an individual.

In my short time here at ULM, I have found that I am almost completely self-driven. I am a leader, and I work well with others. I also strive to help other people when needed. I have discovered that when I study, I am actually a lot smarter than I thought. I have found that when it comes to getting more involved on campus, it gets harder and harder to pass up an opportunity. I have discovered that living above Starbucks has brought on a new love for coffee. I have found friends that will stick with me through any obsticle that comes my way. They truly are lifelong best friends. I have learned that when I decide on something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision, and ULM was without a doubt the right decision.

During my time at ULM, I have developed as a person on so many levels. My experiences at ULM have helped me discover and improve my leadership skills and people skills through the organizations in which I am involved. I have made many lifetime friendships and memories at ULM. I have found a home away from home and a second family here. Family is one of the most important things in life, and I am so blessed to have found one here at ULM.

I never realized how much I loved ULM until someone asked about my experience, and I didn't stop with just one thing. There is just so much to love! From the athletic events, to the intimate class settings, to spring concerts and ice cream socials, there is not one thing that stands above the rest! I love my school so much that I get excited when I see another ULM sticker on the highway when I drive home to Texas!
