The Social Work Faculty and Staff are very dedicated, experienced, and committed to their teaching and professional endeavors. Each one takes a personal interest in the students and strives to provide educational and career counseling for each student. 

Our mission here at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Social Work Department is to provide students with the specific body of knowledge, values, and professional skills needed by competent social work professionals committed. We seek to identify and affirm the historical principles, values and ethics of the social work profession by educating and training students for professional practice and leadership roles in the social work profession. We want to prepare social work students to work with society's diverse populations, develop skills that promote social and economic justice, and build and promote effective community services. This academically challenging mission is based on a liberal arts perspective which blends well with the beliefs, values, and ethics of the social work profession.
