Drum Major and Leadership Camp: "Command the Field"

The Drum Major and Leadership camp includes significant classroom instruction and leadership training with the experts in drum major techniques.  The camp is open to drum majors, section leaders, or anyone wanting to gain leadership skills for their high school band program.

Resident camper fees include a dorm room and meal plan.  Non-resident fees are for commuter students and do not include a dorm room or meal plan.  Dorm space for this camp is limited so early registration is recommended.

High School Flute Camp

Flutists entering grades 9 through 12 as are flutists who just finished grade 12 are welcome. Special age exceptions are sometimes made. Flute Camp welcomes students at a variety of playing levels. Students are grouped according to ability level so each person can get the most positive experience possible.

Students are kept busy throughout the day with a variety of activities. A lot of time is spent rehearsing with flute choir and small ensembles. Lessons, master class opportunities and other activities specific to each person's abilities are also offered.

A final concert will be presented by the flute campers on the final afternoon of flute camp at 4 p.m. This will showcase the work that was done in flute choir and small ensemble rehearsals.

Dr. Lunte will be the main teacher at the camp. She will be assisted by ULM flutists who are music education and performance majors and have had teaching experience.

Camp Times: 9 am to 8:00 pm (June 6/7); 9 am to approx. 6 pm (June 8)

High School/Junior College Choral Camp

The Choral Camp curriculum features private and group instruction as well as numerous chamber music opportunities throughout the week.  The camp will conclude with a concert on the last day.  Resident fees include a dorm room and meal plan.

Private voice lesson are available at the rate of $20 for a 30 minute lesson.

Early Registration Fees: $260 for resident M-F (includes room and board); $295 for resident plus Sunday prior (June 23); $100 for non-residents and day-campers
