Our History

Beginning in 1953, at the then Northeast Louisiana State College, theatre at ULM has a rich and impressive history.
Under the direction of George C. Brian the department employed stars such as Chita Rivera and Andy Devine, and established a tradition of educational quality and artistic exellence.
John J. Kelly led ULM into the new century by continuing in the path set forth by Mr. Brian.
In 2004 Theatre&DanceWorks.ULM featured Felicia Finley of Aida fame and Broadway star Candy Buckley.
In the fall of 2005 we featured Television and Film actor Lane Davies in Equus.
Join us as we blaze a new trail with cutting edge drama for the new generation of TheatreWorks students.
