Clow’s 200 publications include 71 journal articles; 31 textbooks, books and teaching ancillaries; 83 conference proceedings and 15 conference presentations. In 1992, Clow earned his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and achieved his first journal publication as a doctoral candidate. While working on his dissertation, Clow recalls stating that when he finished his work, he would “never write another thing.” Five years later, Clow began work on his first textbook, “Services Marketing,” with Dr. Dave Kurtz, his dissertation chair. “I had a lot to learn,” said Clow. His first textbook took three years to complete. Now, most books take approximately between 12 and 18 months to complete. Clow said he is thankful for the atmosphere at ULM, which allows him to continue his research and publishing work. He extended a special “thanks” to CBA Dean Ronald Berry, who has been very supportive in his endeavors. “I appreciate his confidence in me in appointing me to the Biedenharn Chair in Business,” said Clow. Clow’s published textbooks include: Marketing Management, First edition; Services Marketing, Second edition, Essentials of Marketing, Third edition and Integrated Advertising, Promotion, and Marketing Communications, Fourth edition.
