ULM’s eTEACH: education for everyone, everywhere

E-TeachInterest in online learning has risen during the recession, and programs geared toward professional educators are no exception.

The College of Education and Human Development’s eTeach programs are designed for in-service teachers and pre-service teachers seeking convenient learning environments to continue their education or earn required certification.

The eTeach programs are not limited in enrollment, said Rhonda Mann, director of teacher initiatives at ULM.

Other popular choices include on-site customized programs, workshops, book studies, PRAXIS reviews, and coursework specifically tailored for individual school districts,” she said.

The initiative allows teachers to continue learning long after the traditional school day is over.

“Learning in the 21st century is not limited to time and space capabilities,” she said. “Our eTeach programs are generating new avenues of learning for educators. We understand the tools Louisiana teachers need to succeed.”

Mann said fall enrollment for eTeach would continue through summer. Contact the program at 318-342-1250 or visit the eTeach Web site at www.ulm.edu/eteach for more information.
